Lace
A moderate story-required fight in Deep Docks — fight #5 of 34 in our complete Silksong boss list.
Lace is Silksong's first real skill check — a nimble fencer waiting at the Deep Docks who punishes sloppy dashes. Where earlier bosses telegraph slowly, Lace strings thrusts and swipes into chains and mixes in deliberate feints designed to eat your resources.
She is the first fight in the game that asks you to stop reacting and start timing. Master her here and the rematch waiting at the end of Act 2's High Halls becomes a victory lap instead of a wall.

Key attacks
1Thrust Chain
Strings together needle thrusts and swipes; each link has a dash-through window.
2Stationary Flurry
Pins in place for a flurry — the main punish window once it ends.
3Feint Step
Fakes a dash to bait a panic response; don't get baited.
Strategy
Master dash timing first
Her Thrust Chain links needle thrusts and swipes, and every link carries a dash-through window. Practice dashing into the attack rather than away from it — dashing backwards into a follow-up is how her chains snowball.
Wait out the flurry
Her most dangerous moment is the Stationary Flurry: she pins herself in place and unleashes a storm of strikes. Do not contest it — circle or reposition, then unload your punish during the long recovery the moment it ends.
Do not bite the feint
The Feint Step fakes a dash to bait a panic response. If you react to every movement, she wins the resource war. Hold your ground on half-committed animations and only punish fully committed ones.
